2022

Our popular workshop series returned this May! We are proud to partner with UBC INSTRCC, CCHSBC, and VPABC.

These workshops provided introductory training on digital storytelling and oral history video production for the “From Far and Wide: Pacific Canada Stories” project. Participants learned techniques on video production and audio recording.

Members of PCHC, UBC INSTRCC, CCHSBC, and VPABC received an exclusive discount.

2021

We are pleased to have launched our virtual workshop series on April 15, 2021. This workshop was aimed at those interested in translating family lore into digital format so that it can be passed on for generations to come.

Over the duration of the three workshops, the series introduced participants to interviewing, storytelling, filmmaking and editing with phone and computer applications. Participants also had the opportunity to view each other’s films and hear each other’s stories. No prior experience was required.

Open to the general public, the workshops took place Thursday, April 15th, 29th, and May 13th from 5:30-7:30pm PDT.

If you would like to learn more about the workshops or be alerted of the next round, please email pchcmom.events@gmail.com.

This webinar series was produced in collaboration with UBC ACAM and UBC INSTRCC
