In response to the uptick of anti-Asian hate and racism since COVID, and the advocacy by people of Indigenous/Black heritage and other racialized communities, the provincial government will introduce legislation next year on race-based data collection.  PCHC is invited along with many community organizations to help collect community input that will inform how the Government gathers and uses race-based data in the future.

PCHC and its partners in BC will be hosting a series of focus group meetings to engage citizens of diverse backgrounds. Our past sessions took place January 4th 2022 at 7:00pm and January 5th 2022 at 7:00pm. Our last session will take place January 18th 2022 at 7:00pm. All responses are anonymous and all participants will be compensated with a token of our appreciation.

If you are interested in participating in a session, please email (pchcmom.events[@]gmail.com) to RSVP. To find out more about the Anti-Racism Data Legislation Engagement, please visit this government website. All are encouraged to take the government survey, and share their experience and opinions to fight racism at a systemic level.
