“Truly, family is who loves you.”

— Wayson Choy

We in Canada have been shaped by migration. Whether moving from rural to urban, from coast to coast, by air, land, or sea, our journeys have shaped who we are and where we are. Tell us your own story of migration, or that of a parent or grandparent or great-great-grandparent. Interview a neighbour or a family member or ask a young person to interview you. Share your short video or audio recording with us as we uncover our collective story.

PCHC-MOM is gathering and sharing stories of Pacific Canada and beyond to better understand migrants and descendants of migrants who arrived through western portals to live on the territories of Indigenous peoples.

Please join us by sharing your story on social media. Use the hashtag #PCHCMOM and #FacesofPacificCanada. Alternately, join our Facebook group or email us directly. PCHC-MOM will gather submissions where they will live on our website with other Pacific Canada Stories.
