Oral History Project with Indonesian-Canadian Elders

With the support from PCHC-MoM Society and UBC, the Canadian Indonesian Diaspora Society (CIDS) received a federal government grant to record the migration and family stories of Indonesian-Canadian elders.Migration researcher and writer Kilim Park and Co-Founder/Co-Editor in Chief of Loose Lips Magazine Kristi Alexandra, co-ordinators of the project, brought the community together on October 27 to present a progress report. We had a wonderful time connecting with the Indonesian-Canadian community, eating snacks and drinking coffee, and playing a few games. For photos of the event, please see below. If you would like your elders to be interviewed for this project, please contact Kilim Park at <kilim.park@gmail.com>.
