Feature Event: Philippines Historama 2019
Philippines HISTORAMA -- the history of the Philippines presented creatively through short plays, songs and dances -- is brought to you in 2019 by popular demand!

Co-written by historian Atty. Bernie Julve and community leader Carmelita Salonga Tapia, with input and advice from the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, BC it was first presented to the public on June 9, 2012 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, BC as part of a series of events commemorating the 114th anniversary of Philippine Independence from Spanish rule. The music of HISTORAMA consists mostly of patriotic and revolutionary hymns contemporaneous with key historical events, evoking the Filipino people’s epic struggles against colonial misrule. All the numbers are performed by seasoned actors, dancers, singers and cultural performers supported by local dancers and stage volunteers.
The Vancouver production is co-presented by PCHC-Museum of Migration Society and KABABAYAN: UBC Filipino Students Association, in coordination with UBC Philippine Studies Series, UBC Asian Canadian & Asian Migration Studies Program, and UBC St. John's College.
