PCHC AGM and Walking Tour Photos

This weekend, PCHC held a successful AGM at the UBC Learning Exchange in Chinatown. Directors, Advisors, Members, and friends came out to hear a review of the year and to hear updates about the museum project. We'd like to thank the PCHC Directors for their amazing hard work these past couple years. A huge thank you to the Directors stepping down this year, Henry Yu and David Wong, for all their awesome contributions, and a special thank you to Winnie Cheung who has been such a fabulous and inspiring PCHC President! Congrats to Harbhajan Gill for starting your new term as the next President of PCHC!After the AGM, we had a great time on a Strathcona neighbourhood walking tour led by Chinese Canadian Historical Society of British Columbia President John Atkin! Thanks John for sharing your knowledge and expertise! The tour, Re-Discover Strathcona: Home to Generations of Immigrants, included history about Chinese, Japanese, African-Canadian, and Russian immigrants, to name a few. We had a chance to glimpse the only building left untouched in this neighbourhood, a jewel box of a Russian Orthodox Church. Thanks to all Members and community who joined us!
