MVOH 2017

Throughout the month of July 2017, PCHC-MoM participated in a trans-Pacific project, “Multi Voices One Heart: Celebrating Canada 150 in Cantonese Opera”, involving partners from Hong Kong, Vancouver and Toronto — 3 cities linked by the rich history of Chinese migration to Canada.

PCHC-MoM and partners kicked off the the project with the hit of a gong on May 1 in Metro Vancouver.

On July 6, PCHC-MoM held the MVOH Cantonese Opera in the Garden at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden in Vancouver’s Chinatown. There, individuals had the chance to enjoy delicious dim-sum with the stars of the show, along with Mr. Lau Wing Chuen’s musical accompaniment. There was also a demo by Ms. Wong Chu Kwan on her experiences as a Cantonese opera star. gardenposterv3
