PCHC Partners to Present LiterASIAN 2016

PCHC-MoM is a partner of LiterASIAN 2016, hosted by the Asian Canadian Writers’ Workshop.

On Sunday, September 25 PCHC will have a table at LiterASIAN at the Word on the Street festival at Vancouver’s Library Square from 11:00am-5:00pm.

Come join us at this annual festival and meet featured writers, Paul Yee, Simon Choa Johnston, JJ Lee and Joy Kogawa. Word Vancouver is Western Canada’s largest celebration of reading, writing, literacy and book and magazine publishing. (Link: http://wordvancouver.ca/2016-festival)

Our President Winnie Cheung will be moderating the opening panel on Wednesday, September 21 at 6:00pm. Come out to the opening event at the Vancouver Public Library and hear about the different ways our panel of star writers have chosen to gather and record the past!

We will also have a table at the closing event on September 25.

Panel Discussion: Searching the Past – Locating History and Memory, at the Studio 700 at CBC, 700 Hamilton St (Wednesday, September 21,6.00pm)

Please note that the location has been changed from the Vancouver Public Library due to flooding.

Our opening event will be hosted jointly by CBC on Wednesday, Sept 21, 6pm at Studio 700. The panel will explore the different ways we chose to gather and record the past and illuminate the deeds of earlier generations. The panel will include Award-winning authors and editors, Paul Yee, Denise Chong, SKY Lee, JJ Lee, Simon Choa Johnston, Jean Barman, Edwin Lee, and Judy Hanazawa.
